Verein Hindernislauf Liechtenstein

Every year in September, the aim is to complete an obstacle course of either 8, 12 or 20 kilometers. The route leads into the canal, through the Ruggell nature reserve, up the Schellenberg and back down to the finish and festival area at Widau Ruggell. Depending on the route chosen, there are over 50 obstacles to crawl, shimmy, drag, throw, climb and balance on. A challenge for everyone, fun for all. The focus is on cooperation rather than competition. There is deliberately no timekeeping.

There is a separate run for boys and girls aged 6 and over - the LittleMudRun. Also with different lengths and lots of obstacles.

The festival with many different food trucks and live music is for everyone. Visitors are very welcome, a family event for young and old.

The Bank Frick LieMudRun also has a charitable component. For every child who takes part in the run, the obstacle course association donates five francs to the SOS Children's Village Liechtenstein. With a good 500 children per run, that's a tidy sum every year. Bank Frick goes one better - it doubles this amount each time. Chapeau.
